What is Resettlement Service Finder?
Resettlement Service Finder is an online database of more than 10,000 records of services across the UK that can help support prisoners and offenders to settle and lead law-abiding lives. Each record provides information about referral procedures, age ranges, client groups etc to help you make referrals.
I have registered but cannot log in. What should I do?
Upon registration you should receive an email confirmation. You must double-click on the link contained in the email to activate your user details. If you have not received your email, check your spam filter. In case of misspelt email addresses, you may need to re-register taking care to spell your email address correctly. If you experience any other problems please email us at rsfinder@nacro.org.uk or click on the 'Contact us' link above.
How do I look up a specific service?
If you know the name of the service, click search, selecting the appropriate options if you wish. You can then enter the name of the service into the 'Refining your search' box on the right. If you do not know the name, you should be able to trace it through the relevant service category. If, for example, you are looking for an education service, you should tick the 'Education, training and employment' category and then enter the name of the town, city, county or London borough.
Why can I not find a service in my town?
This may be because your town is too small or there is no such service in the town. You should try looking for a service in a nearby town as organisations often accept people from surrounding areas. Alternatively you can type National into the 'town, city, county or London borough' tab and this will produce a list of services which accept referrals from across the UK.
How up-to-date is the information on Resettlement Service Finder?
We aim to review each record on Resettlement Service Finder at least once every six months. If you scroll to the end of the record, you will see the date that the information was last updated. From time to time, an organisation's services or contact details will change. If you find that any of the information on Resettlement Service Finder is out of date or incorrect, please tell us by clicking on the 'Contact us' link above.
Can I suggest services to be added to Resettlement Service Finder?
Yes you can. We welcome all suggestions and follow up each one. Please supply the name of the service, contact details and, where possible, the name of the person to whom we should speak, by email at rsfinder@nacro.org.uk or click on the 'Contact us' link above.
I am having trouble using the service. What should I do?
Please email us at rsfinder@nacro.org.uk or click on the 'Contact us' link above. Include a brief description of the problem and a contact number.
